YBhg Ir Academician Emeritus Prof Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Chuah Hean Teik was awarded the Darjah Gemilang Pangkuan Negeri (DGPN) by Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak. The DGPN carries the title Dato' Seri. Tan Sri Chuah was among the 27 individuals who were conferred the DGPN by Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang.
The investiture ceremony for the state’s honours list was held in commemoration of the 74th birthday of Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak. This year's investiture is divided into four sessions - Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Dewan Sri Pinang from 14-18 October 2023.
