Dr. Yang received her Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Prior to that, she received her Master of Medicine (TCM Clinical Basis) education from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. In early days, she received her bachelor degree education in Bachelor of Medicine (Traditional Chinese Medicine) from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Currently, she is undertaking the position of Assistant Professor under Department of Chinese Medicine, FMHS in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
