Mdm On Yoke was born on 1 February 1925 in Kluang, Johor, Malaysia. Her ancestral home was in Changqing Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province, China. In 1948, she married her late husband, Mr. Lim Swee Guan, with whom she shared a lifetime of companionship. Together, they were blessed with three sons and six daughters, making a total of nine children. Among them, Dato’ Sri Dr. Lim Teck Ting is the sixth child. Their only godson is Tan Sri Dato’ Ong Hooi Lim JP.
The early years of her married life were far from easy. Raising a large family amid poverty and hardship demanded tremendous strength and sacrifice. Yet, Mdm On Yoke never sighed in despair, complained about her circumstances, or blamed others for her hardships.
Instead, she faced every challenge with quiet courage, patience, wisdom, and love. With determination and unwavering perseverance, she embraced a life of diligence and thrift.
Mdm On Yoke also lived by the principle of treating others with kindness. She was generous and compassionate, always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need. Through her kindness and generosity, she touched the lives of many and sowed countless seeds of goodwill.
Having reached the remarkable age of 101, she has been blessed with happiness, prosperity, and a flourishing family. Her children and grandchildren have grown into accomplished individuals. Among them are four PhD holders, three dentists, as well as numerous chartered accountants, lawyers, engineers, master’s and bachelor’s degree holders, and outstanding entrepreneurs.
Even at the age of 101, Mdm On Yoke continues to uphold the virtues of understanding, tolerance, and graciousness towards others. She remains broad-minded and never dwells on trivial matters.
Her life is a testament to resilience, diligence, compassion, generosity, and selfless love. The greatest legacy she leaves behind is not only a thriving family, but also a precious tradition of strong family values, kindness, and perseverance that will continue to inspire and guide generations to come.
王玉女士在1-2-1925年出生于马来西亚柔佛州居銮县，祖藉中国福建省安溪县长卿镇，1948年与先夫林水源结为夫妻，膝下共有三男六女，拿督斯里林得丁博士在九位孩子中排行第六，而唯一谊子是丹斯里拿督王惠临局绅。
纵然早期孩子眾多，生活清苦，她绝不唉声叹气，怨天尤人，反之用包容，智慧和慈爱浇灌家人。
即使婚后日子贫寒艰辛，她仍然咬緊牙关，勤俭节约，含辛茹苦的把九位孩子抚养成人，劳苦功高。
王玉女士秉承与人为善，慷慨解囊的善举美德，广种福田.她一百零一岁高寿之年，福澤绵绵，子孙彬彬，人才辈出，家族中擁有四位博士，三位牙医，多位特许会计师，律师，工程师，硕士，学士及出类拔萃的成功企业家。
虽已达期颐之年，她处事为人仍然秉持容事容人，不拘小节的美德。
她的一生，是坚韧、勤勉、慈爱、慷慨与无私奉献的真实见证。她所传承的，不仅是一个兴旺和睦的大家庭，更是一份珍贵而深厚的家庭价值观——以善良待人，以坚毅处世，以关爱凝聚家人。这份珍贵的精神与家风，将世代相传，继续启迪和引领后人。
